The problem

A bad manual costs you more than you think.

When a product ships from an overseas factory, the manual ships with it — written quickly, translated poorly, and designed to meet a minimum requirement, not to help your customer.

Returns go up

Customers who can't figure out how to use a product return it. A clear manual prevents that.

Reviews suffer

"Instructions make no sense" is one of the most common complaints in 1-star reviews for imported products.

Support costs rise

A manual that answers questions before they're asked is the cheapest customer support you can buy.

Your brand takes the hit

Customers don't blame the factory. They blame the brand on the box — yours.

Before & after

See the difference.

About

The person behind
the manuals.

Not a faceless agency. Not an overseas content mill. One specialist who cares whether your customer can actually figure out how to use what they bought.

I started Manuals That Work after seeing the same problem over and over: great products from overseas factories, let down by manuals that were confusing, poorly translated, and clearly never written with the customer in mind.

The factory manual exists to meet a minimum requirement. It's designed to ship in the box, not to be read. The result is a customer who can't get their product to work, so they return it — and leave a one-star review on the way out. None of that reflects the quality of your product. All of it reflects the quality of your documentation.

I've written product manuals across more than a dozen categories — from blenders and milk frothers to handheld vacuums and power banks — turning dense, hard-to-follow factory documents into clear guides that customers can actually use. The goal is always the same: fewer returns, fewer support headaches, and a manual that reflects the quality of your product.

When you work with me, you're working directly with the person doing the writing. I read the factory manual, I understand how the product works, I write the documentation your customer actually needs — and I deliver it in editable Word and print-ready PDF, structured to translate cleanly into any EU language.

How I work

Three things that matter on every project.

01

Written for the customer, not the factory

Every manual is written from the perspective of the person holding the product for the first time.

02

No invented content

I write from the information you provide. If something is unclear, I ask. I don't fill gaps with guesswork.

03

Ready to use, day one

You get a finished manual in editable Word and print-ready PDF. No cleanup required.

Who I work with

Built for importers and sellers who source overseas.

Amazon FBA Sellers

You're importing private label products and the factory manual is embarrassing. We make it something you're proud to ship.

Importers & Distributors

You're moving product volume across a catalog. We handle the documentation so your team doesn't have to.

Brands Sourcing Overseas

Your brand deserves documentation that reflects it. Factory manuals don't. We bridge that gap.

Compliance Consultants

Need a reliable manual writer for your clients? We're a specialist resource you can refer and rely on.

Let's work together.

Send me your product details and I'll tell you exactly what your documentation needs — no obligation.

Common questions

What you're probably wondering.

How much does it cost? +
It depends on the product and the state of your existing manual. Send us what you have and we'll give you a fixed quote before any work starts. No surprises.
How long does it take? +
Most single-product manuals are completed within a week. If you're on a deadline, tell us and we'll work to it.
Do you work from my existing factory manual? +
Yes — that's the most common project. Send us the factory manual in any form and we'll rewrite and restructure it. If you don't have one, we can build from scratch.
Can the manual be translated for European markets? +
We write your master manual in clean English and structure it so it translates cleanly — whether you use a translation service or an AI tool.
Do you handle formatting, or just the writing? +
Both. You get a finished, professionally formatted manual in editable Word and print-ready PDF.
What kinds of products do you cover? +
Mostly consumer products imported from overseas — kitchen appliances, small electronics, cleaning equipment, personal care devices, and similar.
